Black Friday and Cyber Monday are behind us. Today is #GivingTuesday! To celebrate, we are collecting the best-of-the-best trade books for young adults to send as holiday gifts to students in the three schools we work with in Harrisburg (PA), Philadelphia, (PA) and Prince George’s County (MD). We have received some great books already. Take a look at these gifts already wrapped and tagged.

We have also received a number of pledges to send books and would like to thank some of the PFF BFFs who have already sent books or have pledged to send books. We’ll also share some of their favorites in case you haven’t read them or need some ideas.

Susan Gauthier (LA)- Middle School
Patti Grammens (GA)- Harry Potter series
Patti Harju (MI)- Holes, Divergent, Esperanza Rising
Kelly Hines (NC)- Treasure Island, Fever 1793, Eldest
Porter Palmer (MI)- From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, The Indian in the Cupboard
Elaine Plybon (TX)- Racing in the Rain, Holes, The Necromancer, What I Saw and How I Lied, Feed
Carolyn Rains (AL)- Divergent series
Kat Staton (VA)- The Book Thief, Hunger Games trilogy
Cynthia Treichler (VA)- Where the Red Fern Grows, Hunger Games
Karen Wells (AR)-  Divergent series

Our goal is to send at least 100 books to each of the three schools we work with in Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Prince George’s County.

How can you help us?  It’s simple. Just go here for all the details including where to send the books.

Thanks so much for helping us celebrate #GivingTuesday!
