​Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge

We are very excited to be able to host our PFF Fall Retreat this year. 

We will be taking the students to the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, PA for a fun weekend.

The retreat is for Year 1 (currently in seventh grade) and Year 2 (currently in eighth grade) PFF students.

FAQ 

How will the students get to the Fall retreat?
We will pick up the students after school on September 30 and bring them back on Sunday, October 2.
Harrisburg students:
Pick up at Marshall Math and Science Academy (Friday, September 30 at 3:30 PM)
Return to Marshall Math and Science Academy (Sunday, October 2 at 1:00 PM)
Philadelphia students:
Pick up at Julia de Burgos School (Friday, September 30 at 4:00 PM)
Return to Julia de Burgos School (Sunday, October 2 at 12:00 PM)
how much does it cost?
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, there is no cost to you for your child to attend the PFF Fall Retreat. But, if your child completes their permission form we will assume they are attending and start paying for their participation in the weekend. 
What do students need to bring?
​​Essentials:
Comfortable clothes for the weekend
Light jacket or sweatshirt 
Sneakers
Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, skin care, soap)
Medications (e.g., inhaler, allergy medicine, etc.)

Optional:
Bath towel (one will be provided for use)
Extra blanket (one blanket will be provided for use)
Cell phone and charger
Where does it take place?
We will be staying on the campus of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge (PA). 
Where will the students eat?
We provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner (and other treats). Our meals will be in the dining hall at the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge.

We have a variety of activities planned for the weekend including:

  • Spooktacular Science
  • PFF Cares project
  • Nature walk
